AI-assisted inspection
Traffic across the whole network is assessed by models trained on network behaviour, so the service can act on patterns that no fixed rule has been written for yet.
Home network firewall
AI-assisted firewall protection designed to help safeguard your Wi-Fi network, your router and every device connected to them — with no software to install, and built to run without slowing your connection.
How it's delivered
The analysis happens in our cloud and the policy is applied before traffic reaches your router. There is no software to install at your end, and nothing to configure, update or keep an eye on.
Traffic across the whole network is assessed by models trained on network behaviour, so the service can act on patterns that no fixed rule has been written for yet.
Inspection is designed to happen in line rather than as a detour, so browsing, streaming and calls carry on normally. Real-world speed depends on your connection and configuration.
Nothing to download and no app to hunt for on a device that barely has a screen. Devices are covered by being connected to the network.
Activation, updates and policy changes are handled on our side. You are never asked to maintain firmware, rule files or an appliance.
Where protection belongs
A laptop can run security software. A camera, a smart speaker or a games console usually cannot. What they all have in common is the network they sit on — which makes the network the most practical place to apply protection.
SecureSonic inspects traffic as it crosses the boundary between your home and the internet. Traffic you asked for continues. Traffic that matches a block policy stops there, before it reaches your router or the devices behind it.
What SecureSonic protects
Residential protection is the centre of the service. The same architecture extends to business networks, cloud environments and web applications when you need it.
The connection every device in the house depends on, checked at the network level.
The device that faces the internet, with controls around access and remote management.
Laptops, phones, tablets, TVs, cameras, speakers, printers and smart appliances.
Movement between devices inside your network, kept to the zones you intend.
Inbound attempts and outbound connections, measured against your policy.
Offices, retail sites, professional practices and distributed teams.
Workloads and virtual networks, protected with cloud-delivered policy.
Sites, applications and APIs, protected at the request level.
Router protection
Your router is the single device that faces the internet directly, which makes its settings worth getting right. SecureSonic applies policy around the gateway rather than leaving it to default configuration.
Connected devices
A typical home now runs dozens of connected things: phones, laptops, tablets, TVs, cameras, speakers, printers, plugs, appliances. Most were designed for convenience rather than security, and many will never receive another update.
Network-level protection covers them by covering what they connect through — no app to install, no settings to find on a device that barely has a screen.
Internal network
Not everything on a network needs to reach everything else. A camera does not need access to the computer holding your tax returns, and a visitor's phone does not need either.
Internal policy defines which zones can talk to which — so a single compromised device has fewer places to go. Available separation depends on your router and service configuration.
External network
Networks connected to the internet receive constant background traffic: scans, probes and connection attempts nobody asked for. Filtering that at the boundary removes noise before it becomes a problem.
Requested traffic — pages, streams, calls, updates — continues normally. Outbound connections are measured against policy too, which is how unusual activity from inside the network becomes visible.
Cloud-managed security
Policy, inspection and monitoring are delivered as a managed service. Updates arrive centrally, which means no firmware juggling, no rule files and no appliance to babysit.
The same control plane covers a single home, a business with several sites, or cloud workloads — the difference is scope, not a different product to learn.
Automated monitoring
Traffic is observed, compared against your policy and against patterns learned from network behaviour, acted on, and recorded. That loop runs continuously, so decisions are being made at three in the morning as reliably as at three in the afternoon.
Automating the analysis is what makes the scale workable. A person cannot watch every connection on every device; a model can weigh them all and raise the handful worth a closer look.
Recorded events matter as much as blocked ones: they are what makes it possible to review a decision, explain it and adjust the rule behind it.
The level of detail available in monitoring and reporting depends on your plan and service configuration.
Home vs business
Both services protect a network at the boundary. What changes is how much you need to administer and how granular the controls become.
| Home firewall | Business firewall | |
|---|---|---|
| Best suited to | Households, home offices, shared living | Offices, retail, professional services, remote teams |
| What it covers | One network and the devices on it | Multiple sites, teams and cloud environments |
| Management | Managed for you, with sensible defaults | Centralised administration with delegated access |
| Policy control | Straightforward rules and simple exceptions | Granular rules by application, group or site |
| Segmentation | Guest and smart-device separation where supported | Structured segmentation across the organisation |
| Secure remote access | Not typically required | Available where the configuration includes it |
| Monitoring | Automated monitoring with clear summaries | Detailed activity records and reporting |
Features may vary by configuration. Talk to support about what suits your setup, or compare business protection.

A managed firewall service is not one product. It is our operational work, a third-party inspection platform, and the systems you already run. Knowing which layer a capability comes from is the difference between a claim and a fact.
Policy design, rule authoring, change management, event triage, incident response and update scheduling are carried out by SecureSonic as operational work.
Stateful inspection, application identification, IDS/IPS, malware and content filtering, DNS filtering, VPN termination and TLS inspection come from the enterprise firewall platform we deploy and operate.
Your routers, directory or identity provider, log platform, endpoint agents and cloud network controls stay yours. We configure the interface between them and the firewall.
The inspection and enforcement capabilities above are provided by a third-party enterprise firewall platform that SecureSonic deploys, configures and operates on your behalf. The product and version deployed for you is confirmed at onboarding and stated in your service documentation. Ask support@securesonicfirewall.com or call +1 (740) 924 5205 and we will confirm it in writing. Which capabilities are available in your deployment depends on that product, its licence tier and your architecture.
Getting started
What you have, what is connected and what matters most — a home with a single router, a business with several sites, or something in between.
Policy is configured for your situation and applied at the network level. Setup steps depend on your equipment and internet service.
Monitoring continues in the background, decisions are recorded, and support is there when something needs adjusting.
Working with SecureSonic
Security services are easy to oversell. We would rather describe the work accurately: what is covered, what depends on your configuration, and where the limits are.
Each service states what it protects and where that protection is applied.
Policy actions are recorded, so they can be reviewed rather than taken on trust.
Security, network, firewall, cloud and web application requests each reach the right team.
Where a capability depends on configuration, we say so instead of implying it is universal.
Where to buy
SecureSonic is sold directly by us and through major online retailers. If you would rather sell SecureSonic than buy it, there is a dealer route too.
Order a home or business plan straight from us and we set the service up on your network.
SecureSonic plans and hardware are also sold through major online retailers. Ask which retailers stock your region, or call +1 (740) 924 5205 and we will point you at a stockist.
We work with authorised dealers and resellers. Apply through the enquiry form and we will explain how the trade programme works.
Availability, pricing and the retailers carrying SecureSonic vary by region. Where a plan is bought does not change the protection you receive.
Questions
It checks traffic moving between your home network and the internet, and applies the rules set for your service. Requests you make — a web page, a video stream, a software update — pass through. Traffic that matches a block policy, such as an unsolicited inbound connection, is stopped before it reaches your router or your devices.
No software is required. Protection is applied at the network level, and the service is activated and managed on our side, so devices are covered by being connected to the network rather than by running anything themselves. That matters most for devices that cannot run security software at all, such as cameras, speakers and appliances.
Yes. Traffic analysis is model-assisted: activity across the network is assessed automatically, which is how the service can act on behaviour that no fixed rule has been written for yet. Policy you have set explicitly is still honoured, and decisions are recorded so they can be reviewed and adjusted.
Inspection is designed to add minimal delay, and most households do not notice a difference in everyday browsing or streaming. Real-world performance depends on your connection speed, your router and the service configuration you choose.
SecureSonic is designed to work alongside typical home routers and gateways. The exact setup path depends on your equipment and internet service, so it is worth describing your hardware when you get in touch.
Yes, where your equipment supports it. Guest and device separation keeps visitors and smart appliances in their own zone so they can reach the internet without reaching your personal computers and files. Options vary by router and configuration.
Policy decisions are recorded, so an action can be reviewed and the rule adjusted. If something you need is being blocked, support can look at the event and change the policy.
A device firewall protects that one device. A network firewall sits in front of everything on your network, including devices that have no security settings of their own. They work well together.
The underlying protection is the same idea applied at a different scale. Business plans add centralised administration across sites, network segmentation, secure remote access and more granular policy control. Features vary by configuration.
